FC27 Ratings are being revealed
EA says FC27 Ratings are more closely connected to real-world football performance than ever before. The Ratings reveal started on August 15, with new information being released throughout the week.
Among the planned reveals are the 27 highest-rated men’s and women’s players, Club Star Ratings, players from some of the biggest leagues in world football and additional rating reveals.
At the end of the reveal week, players will be able to explore the FC27 Ratings Database and view the stats of every base Player Item in the game.
EA also confirmed that the Ratings Database will receive another update in September, after the international transfer window has closed and squads for the new season are confirmed. PlayStyles are expected to be included with that final update.
Destined for Glory puts the community in control
One of the biggest announcements surrounding the FC27 Ratings Database is a new Ultimate Team campaign called Destined for Glory.
Starting August 21, the FC community will be able to vote through the Ratings Database for players they believe are ready to define the upcoming football season.
That could mean a breakout player, a major new signing expected to make an immediate impact, a team leader or simply someone expected to become one of the season’s biggest stars.
Community voting will help shape the final Destined for Glory squad. The selected Player Items will then be eligible for live upgrades based on real-world performances.
How will voting work?
EA has kept the process simple. Once voting opens, users will be able to visit the FC27 Ratings Database, find a player and use the Vote option next to that player.
- Every player included in the FC27 Ratings Database is eligible to receive votes.
- Voting is open to everyone.
- There is no limit to the number of different players you can vote for.
- Community votes will help determine the final Destined for Glory squad.
Real football will matter
The players selected for Destined for Glory will receive special Player Items capable of earning live upgrades based on their real-world performances.
That adds another connection between Ultimate Team and the real football season. Instead of the campaign being decided entirely before launch, performances on the pitch can continue to affect the selected items.
Common and Rare base Items are changing
FC27 also introduces a change to the way base Player Item rarity is displayed in Ultimate Team.
Bronze, Silver and Gold base Items will no longer be divided into Common and Rare versions. Instead, base items will simply be classified as Bronze, Silver or Gold.
Bronze · Silver · Gold — without the previous Common and Rare labels for base Player Items.
A much more interactive Ratings season
FC27 Ratings are no longer only about debating which player deserves a higher overall rating. With daily reveals, a full Ratings Database, community voting and the Destined for Glory live campaign, EA is making the Ratings period part of the opening Ultimate Team experience. The next major date to watch is August 21, when community voting officially begins.
